November 7, 2016 Texas Rangers activated DH Prince Fielder from the 60-day disabled list. February 14, 2017 Texas Rangers placed DH Prince Fielder on the 60-day disabled list.
He married his wife Chanel in 2005 during the Triple-A All-Star break while playing for the Nashville Sounds. Fielder filed for divorce in May 2013, but by March 2014, he and his wife had reconciled. Fielder batted .278 in the ALDS against Oakland, registering 5 hits and no RBIs. In the 2013 ALCS he declined further, registering a .182 average with only 4 hits and no RBIs. Trading for CC Sabathia certainly helped, but entering the final week of the season, the Brewers HAD to sweep the Pittsburgh Pirates in order to put themselves in position to win the Wild Card. Perhaps the most replayed walk-off home run in Brewers’ history is Bill Hall’s walk-off against the Mets.

Amezaga was only in the game because the Rockies’ all-star shortstop was watching from the clubhouse, helpless to impact the outcome. A palpable tension developed, infecting players and umpires. Tied Billy Butler, Hunter Pence, and Joey Votto for the major league lead with 162 games…was one of 12 major leaguers with minimums of 25 homers and 100 RBI…ranked among the A.L. He hit .632 during the week (12-for-19) with 11 RBIs and 22 total bases. He finished the month of April with a .301 batting average, 7 home runs, and 27 RBIs.

His second career home run was the first of his four career walk-off homers, a two-run shot off the Pirates' Jose Mesa on Aug. 31, 2005. Though the Brewers were not particularly competitive in 2006, the home run came on Mother’s Day with Bill Hall’s own mother in the stands. It is routinely replayed several times every Mother’s Day on Brewers’ broadcasts. The Vogel-Slam is certainly going to be remembered for years to come. However, is it one of the most iconic walk-offs in Brewers history? Perhaps with time, it will be; but for now, here are the five walk-off home runs we think are the best in the history of the franchise. #1- September 25, 2008: Ryan Braun vs. Pirates
That positioned Fielder to hit a walk-off home run with one out in the 12th, and when he reached home plate, he raised his arms in the air while teammates tumbled to the ground as if they were bowling pins. Dexter Fowler gave the Rockies a 6-5 lead with a bloop single in the top of the 14th inning. At that point, Paulino, who has been on the trade block for weeks and could eventually just be cut, was the only pitcher available. The matchup against Fielder represented a chance because he wasn’t right-handed — those have torched Paulino. They would go onto win the NL Central and make it all the way to Game Seven of the NLCS. Another first baseman on that team, Jesus Aguilar, provided some great memories for the Brewers.
Fielder earned his first call-up to Major League Baseball on June 13, 2005. He served as the designated hitter for the Brewers during interleague play. With Lyle Overbay serving as the Brewers' regular first baseman, Fielder was sent back down to the Sounds after the end of interleague play. Fielder was again called up to the Majors on August 17, 2005, and went on to finish the season with the Brewers, where he was used as a pinch-hitter. Fielder attended Saint Edward's School in Vero Beach, Florida, for two years, where he played junior varsity baseball.
Winning the Derby
In the bottom of the ninth, Cecil Cooper came to the plate with the scored tied. The Yankees had Hall of Fame pitcher Goose Gossage on the mound. Cooper smacked his third home run of the day in walk-off fashion, giving the Brewers the win in more than one sense of the word.
The Brewers finished 90–72, earning the NL Wild Card on the final day of the regular season, their first postseason berth as a National League club and their first since losing to the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1982 World Series. They faced the Philadelphia Phillies and were eliminated in four. Fielder hit the Brewers' only home run of the series, in Game 4. With the Brewers and Giants tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 12th inning, Fielder lined a home run to right field to give the Crew a 2-1 win.
He was named by Florida Today as the All-Space Coast Player of the Year in 2002. Fielder committed to play college baseball for Arizona State. We'll go with the second for this list because it happened in front of the home fans.
Earned Rangers Player of the Year honors in a bounce back season…started 139 games at DH and 18 at first base… ranked among the A.L. While playing the San Francisco Giants on September 6, Fielder hit his third career walk-off home run in the 12th inning. The Brewers' subsequent home plate celebration sparked a minor controversy due to its unusual style. Then, on September 19, Fielder set the Brewers' single-season record for RBIs at 127, beating Cecil Cooper's 1983 record of 126. He set this record during a game against the Houston Astros — the team Cooper was managing at the time.

Braun had just hit a ground-rule double to score two runs and pull the Brewers within 5-4, and Fielder followed with a two-run laser-beam homer off Jaime Garcia that spotted the Brewers a 6-4 lead. Yuniesky Betancourt would add another two-run homer in the inning and the Brewers prevailed, 9-6. The first came June 17, 2007, against the Minnesota Twins, with an assist from outfielder Lew Ford, who lost the ball in the lights at the now-extinct Metrodome. Fielder hit a cool 50 home runs that year, but not without this beauty, although it came in the context of a loss.
He compiled only a .071 batting average (1-for-14) during the World Series as the Tigers were swept in four games at the hands of the San Francisco Giants. In Game 2 of the series, Fielder was hit on the shoulder by a pitch from Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner. After Delmon Young hit a double down the left-field line, Prince attempted to score.
Those who aren't Brewers fans might be stunned to learn he has two inside-the-park home runs on his résumé. As Fielder jumped onto home plate, his gathered teammates all fell backward like a bomb had exploded, leaving a triumphant Fielder standing in the midst of it all, holding his hands to the sky. The Rockies didn’t figure to need their fists to fight back with the victory clenched in their fingers after six innings.
